The Journey
My roots trace back to the sunbaked landscapes of southern Arizona, where I grew up with a deep appreciation for all things desert—its colors, textures, and quiet, rugged beauty. I later moved to western Colorado to pursue my dreams of becoming a college professor and micro homesteader, blending books, soil, and slow living into one life. Today I share this journey with an orange cat and a blue Lacy dog, both constant companions in this evolving desert-inspired home story.
The transition to desert living felt like a natural evolution—a shift from the mountains to the mesas. This journey inspired the birth of Desert Bloom Home, a space dedicated to blending that Western heritage with the warmth of southwest sunsets and a curated, minimalist aesthetic.
